Marvel Vs. Capcom Well, Yesterday I went to buy a new game. I looked all over my local game store...First I looked at the Playstation games nothing that I really want accept FF Anthology. But I already bought me a FF game so I looked at the Dreamcast games and there it was Marvel Vs Capcom. I took a look on the back to see the screen shots even though one of the screens were not M v C pics, But oh well I took it to the front desk and picked up an issue of GameFan... I took it home played the game, picked Strider and Spiderman... I won the first match.... And then the second match I got slaughtered BAD, and if you want to know who whooped me it was Gambit the cheapest player on the game, here is my review.
The game has great animation, top notch; it’s like watching a Saturday cartoon...The loading time is great. I’m not saying there isn't any loading time maybe a sec or two...The game doesn’t get choppy at all even when you have four players at the same time and your doing powerful combos, if it doesn’t screw up. Every hero has his or her type of fighting style, which is good. The boss is a site to see good ole Onslaught. The background is a rich work of art like all vs. games. Another thing that I noticed is even though you might be awesome at Street Fighter games you may not be great a M v C, but practice makes perfect...So pretty much everyone has a chance at the beginning.
The bad things about this game are bass of the music. It is not loud enough. The Sega controller is not good at all with this game so get an ARCADE STICK! It’s hard to pull off super combos with that blasted controller.... The game is very hard if you aren’t experienced so practice...And that’s about all the bad stuff. Nope, there is one more thing. They need to have a bar in practice mode showing you how to do combos Just like Dr Evil says "Need the info".
Arcade mode in other words the main part of the game. Verses mode is were you and a buddy can duke it out. Survival mode is where you fight with one power bar through the game. The best way to train is to practice. The coolest part of the game is Cross Fever where you and three other buddies can fight in tag style, and of course other options.
