    Dino Crisis

Dino Crisis has been called everything from a Jurassic Park wannabe to Resident Evil with dinosaurs. All of these criticisms are, fortunately, not true. Survival Horror that’s about as far as the similarities between Dino Crisis and Resident Evil go(with the exception of the controls). And the whole Jurassic Park thing is just ludicrous. If anything Dino Crisis should be praised for adding something new to the survival horror genre. It has good controls and a story that never lets you get off the edge of your seat. For all of the cynics out there who will go to your graves having never given this game a try YOUR STUPID!!! And here’s why The controls are very much like those found in the RE series. One of the major differences however is the fact that now the characters can walk with their weapons ready for killing a dino without the constant missing the R1 button and getting killed move that really p’d me off in Resident Evil. Other than that the controls are very easy to get used to,especially if you’re a fan ofResident Evil. But where this game standsout in the library of Capcom horror games is the story.

You play as Regina, a little hotty with superhuman abilities, who has been sent to find one Dr. Kirk, who staged his death a couple of years earlier. Along for the ride are four or three or two other Special Forces members. Although there are originally five members of the team only Regina, Rick, and Gail make it through more than a couple of hours into the mission. Rick is the most talented of the group; he is a computer wiz and has a lot of medical knowledge. His compassion for the other teammates often leads to some out of the way side mission to save someone who is all but dead before you even know he’s in trouble. Gail on the other hand believes that the mission should come first and that the rest of the team members are nothing but pawns in a twisted game of chess. During the course of the game there are times when you are forced to choose between Rick and Gail’s plans for action. The first time through the game you should do whatever you want when these times arise, however, make sure the next time you play the game that you don’t choose the same ones.

The game also differs from Resident Evil in the fact that there are not one, not two, but three different endings depending on the choices you make in the game. If that’s not enough reason to play through the game at least three times there are also three extra outfits to be earned as well as a new mode to beat. The new mode is probably one of the best things about this game. In it your mission is to kill every single dinosaur in the building. It is broken up into levels, each of which is timed.

If you still don’t want to play the game well not only are you still an idiot, but you’re probably some muscle-bound jock who lives for the next Madden football game. ^_-
